Designed in 2008, it boasts a stunning dial, with a guilloche-style stamped sunray motif which reflects the light, while the highly polished round or cushion case, further enhances its brilliance. Equipped with a cutting-edge automatic movement, this MIDO piece is available in a range of diameters. Immediately recognisable, the Commander's overwhelming success has made it a true icon! Its unique and timeless design make it definitely special: a perfect round case opening out onto a satin-finished dial, slim bezel, integrated crown, and identifying hands and indexes. MIDO has been producing the Commander ever since 1959, reinventing it over the decades through constant aesthetic and technical innovations, whilst retaining its strong identity. Delicate and floral, the Rainflower gracefully evokes the purity of nature. In 2019, MIDO took inspiration from the lotus-shaped silhouette of the ArtScience Museum in Singapore, making this exclusively feminine collection blossom. Its perfectly unique lines combine elegance and charm with an exquisite creativity.
The delicate beauty of the lotus flower is found on its dial, sometimes enhanced with mother of pearl, diamonds or precious stones, and on its case, with its petal-like alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces.
